Ciao Tutti (that is about the extent I can confidently write in Italian)
My nickname is KidOctane and I am from Australia. I have joined this forum as with a bit of luck I am about to purchase an Abarth 5oo. I am an Italian Car tragic, that is, I just looooove them and have only owned Italian cars, even during those barren years when there was no Italian cars (other than Ferrari) being imported into Australia.
I was seriously considering buying a normal 5oo earlier this year as a fun run-around. At the same time rumours started that the Abarth was going to be finally released in Australia since which time I have lusted over the Abarth. At first it was to be released in June, then in October and the last rumour was in February 2011. But it seems that the last rumour maybe true. I cannot tell you how excited I am !!!!!I just think that the Abarth 5oo is the epitome (OK maybe not THE but certainly a great example) of what is great about Italian cars – the character, the charm, it’s small, feisty and spirited.
Unfortunately being in Australia will mean that all the great advice, parts and service you guys can get in Europe may be difficult. But hopefully I will be able to make-up some of this difficulty by joining this on-line community. When I get my order for my Abarth confirmed I will hit this forum with all sort of questions – probably in this International section of the forum but I will most probably also try on the more direct sections but I will try and use Bablefish to help translate
