Have any of you guys with the 1.3 MJT had any experience of the noise that many UK 500 owners have experienced on the diesel version of the 500. I have spoken to Fiat CS several times and they say that they are working on the problem but the "cure" has to be homologated before they are able to retro fit the item as a recall.
The reason I ask for your input is that we think that the problem has been caused by the extra length of the clutch hydraulics whilst converting from LHD to RHD and the "cure" seems to be the fitting of hydraulic damper from a Punto into the system.
If nobody has had the problem in Italy, or indeed any other country that drives on the "wrong" side of the road, Ha! Ha! then this could be an importan mitigating factor in proving our point.
Many thanks
Tony
