Blue&me vs Ipod touch

Hi guys.

Before I got my new 500 I bought a Ipod touch, since there is usb port connected to the b&m. When I ordered my 500 the dealer told me that I could use an Ipod connected to the usb port but he did not tell me that it only works on old Ipods. Does anyone have a solution to this....is there for an example an computer update or something for the b&m who makes the Ipod touch work with the car???

I have the same problem with my iPhone. Unluckily, ther's no solution
Use a simple pen drive... to date is the best way for B&M.

My "old" iPod Nano (this one)

They basically want you to use your iPod like a big USB key. B&M doesn't read music in AAC format

All the adverts concerning the iPod's compatibility with the B&M system were commercial BS

God knows why Fiat chose Microsoft as a partner in the creation of the 500's entertainment system...

B&M is compatible with AAC format, because I'm able to use my Nano whit B&M, synchronizing music by iTunes.
I can listen the same file both iPod and B&M.

Rather with iPhone it's impossible.

If it's an Apple formatted ipod you have no chance of connecting it a PC formatted one should work though.

I went out and got a $10 memory stick... less chance of someone breaking into your 500 to steal your ipod as well

@wreckmaster: ...Fiat knows the problem (read here, fourth page), but I think the increasing number of iPhones out there will "force" them to release a B&M update soon... well, at least I hope it!

In the instruction booklet it says that the B&M doesn't read music in AAC format. 80% of my music is in AAC format (downloaded from itunes).

Also, my iPod is in the Mac format....

Do you think I could get it to work with B&M?

I have been thinking about installing a AUX port on the 500. That would allow the iPod to play music directly on the loudspeakers without any filters. It isn't ideal...but still better than nothing

i think that in this way could works well ith out any problem.. with out the need to istall and aux out on our 500 (that i think is already busy by the b&me)
